The BasicEDU Project, titled "Development of Model for Strengthening Competences of Disadvantaged Women through Basic Education"; which is in close contact with Educational Sciences due to its theme, hosted teachers on the campus to celebrate the November 24 Teachers' Day and contribute to the sustainability of the project by promoting it.
This event, which is a continuation of the previous meetings of the modules developed and the training provided during the project held on August 29 and October 20, 2022, started with a briefing about the project by coordinator Dr. Senem Gürkan.
In addition to the project team, İlkadım Sakarya Primary School director Gökçen Gül and teachers of the same school, Asarcık Akyazı Secondary School teachers Eda Kural, Atakum Guidance Research Center Director Nuray Kahraman and psychological counselors and academics attended the event.
The meeting focused on the application of new-generation teaching methods and techniques to mentor and mentee training and synthesized the reflection of increasing digitalization rates on the technology-centered education model with the intellectual outputs of the project. The Legal Representative of the project, Ondokuz Mayıs University Directorate of Health, Culture and Sports Department Head Güngör Kural, said, "It is precious for us to celebrate with our teachers. I congratulate the Teachers' Day of our esteemed teachers, who lead in keeping the world turning by raising generations.
The event ended with Kural presenting flowers to participating teachers.
